The Food Bank of the Southern Tier and Wegmans are celebrating the success of this year’s Fill the Bus campaign.
Thanks to the generosity of shoppers and Wegmans staff, the 2025 campaign raised over $53,000, enough to provide more than 159,000 meals to children across the Southern Tier. From June 4th through the 18th, customers at participating Wegmans stores made donations at checkout to support children at risk of hunger during the summer.
“We deeply appreciate the generosity of Wegmans and their customers for supporting children in our region,” said Mark Bordeau, President & CEO of the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. “Their commitment helps bridge the summer meal gap, ensuring that no child goes without the nutritious food they need to grow and thrive.”
Participating stores included locations in Elmira, Johnson City, Ithaca, Hornell, and Corning.
