If you live, work, or visit downtown Ithaca, the city is seeking feedback from you with its Downtown Plan Draft Recommendations.
The Downtown Plan is the latest in a series of neighborhood plans pursued as the second phase to the adoption of the city’s overarching Comprehensive Plan. The plan will be the City and
Downtown Ithaca Alliance’s shared blueprint for the future of Downtown Ithaca as the sustainable, inclusive, and economically vibrant center of the community. Several key themes have
emerged during the planning process so far, including ideas around livability, connectivity, and creativity.
When you fill out the short 9-question survey, participants will have the opportunity to engage further with more detailed questions if they like.
The goal of the public outreach is to get feedback about priorities, gaps, relevance, and wording to ensure the document is ready for Common Council adoption this summer.
Keep an eye out for city staff and the DIA popping up at tables around town, in email inboxes, on social media feeds, and at community meetings and events, where organizers will be collecting your input about the recommendations outlined in the draft plan. You are also invited to an Open House at the Tompkins County Public Library from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. on May 2. This event will be
indoor-outdoor and family-friendly.
