A fatal accident in Steuben County remains under investigation.
State Police say a 27-year-old woman was killed after the car she was driving on State Route 21 in Wayland drifted off the shoulder of the road later Wednesday morning. Investigators say Kalie Moses overcorrected, causing her vehicle to slide sideways and strike the driver’s side of a FedEx delivery van. Moses was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kalie’s five-year-old son, who was a passenger, and the FedEx driver were taken to Strong Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
State Police were assisted at the scene by the Wayland Village Police Department, Perkinsville Fire Department, Cohocton Fire Department, Cohocton Ambulance, Springway Ambulance, Livingston County ALS, and New York State DOT.
