The Yates County Chamber of Commerce has announced it will again be holding its annual Scarecrow Decorating contest.
Just like in previous years, this event is open to all ages, individuals, clubs, organizations, and businesses locally. Scarecrows will be displayed along Main Street & Elm Street in Penn Yan or at your business/home if you let the Chamber know where. All entries are due by October 7th.
The scarecrows should be left on display through November 4th.
Chamber staff will come around and take photos of your scarecrow and voting will be on the Chamber’s Facebook page from October 21st through the 30th.
Winners will be announced on Halloween with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners receiving cash prizes.
