Dundee’s Family Dollar, Dollar Tree Store Evacuated for Reported Fire

Firefighters responded to the joint Family Dollar, Dollar Tree store on Water Street in the village of Dundee at around 5:40 Thursday night for the report of smoke inside of the building.

As firefighters were responding from Dundee, Penn Yan and Himrod, the store was evacuated. Witnesses reported seeing no visible smoke or flames from outside of the store. ‘Firefighters seemed to focus their efforts on the roof of the store.

There is no word yet on the extent of damage and cause.
