Driver Airlifted After Yates County Accident

SHARE NOW

A Branchport man was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital following a motor vehicle accident in Yates County.

Anthony Hurd was traveling north on East Valley Road at around 6:30 Monday morning when he lost control of his vehicle and went off the west side of the road. Deputies say Hurd then struck a tree before his vehicle came to rest over an embankment.

Branchport/Keuka Park firefighters and Penn Yan Ambulance crews extricated Hurd, who was then taken to Sayre by Guthrie for chest, hip, and shoulder injuries.

There’s no word yet on what caused the accident.
