A high-speed pursuit in Yates County Thursday night resulted in a serious crash.
The pursuit began in the village of Dundee near the school at around 10:30 and concluded when the car the suspect was driving rolled over on State Route 14 at South Glenora Road. Just seconds before the crash, the officer in back of the suspect’s car reported back to Yates County Dispatch that the vehicle was traveling over 110 miles per hour.
After complaining of severe neck and back pain, the driver was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. No other injuries were reported.
What led to the pursuit has not officially been released by the Sheriff’s Office.
