Ithaca Police are investigating an apparent fatal drug overdose that occurred over the weekend.
Officers responded to a home in the 700 block of Cliff Street Sunday afternoon for a report of a non-responsive person. EMTs and the Tompkins County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the individual had passed away. Their name is being withheld pending further investigation.
Police believe the death is a result of a drug overdose and their investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to the Ithaca Police Department and those who wish to remain anonymous may do so.
