Cornell University students, like others around the country, have started a protest calling for Cornell’s divestment and a free Palestine. According to the Ithaca Voice, about 300 students gathered on the campus Art’s Quad. Some students spent the night there, others are expected to rejoin the protest this morning.
Organizers have until 1 p.m. to vacate the encampment—they said they weren’t leaving. Instead, they invited the student body inside the encampment, risking suspension. Christopher Cowen, CFO of Cornell, declined to speak into the megaphone—organizers ensured attendees heard. pic.twitter.com/73H8K08DHD
