A contractor hired to install plumbing at the new Yates County Highway Department facility in Benton appeared at the County Legislature meeting on Monday to ask when he would be paid. Pat Lloyd, of Lloyd Mechanical Company in Brockport, spoke during the public comment session of the Legislature meeting.
Lloyd said the issue is over a floor drain that backed up at the new facility.
Lloyd said the decision to change the direction of the pipe might or might not have been discussed by the construction manager or the engineering firm.
The county took no public action on Lloyd’s claims of non-payment.
