With those words just after 4 p.m. on December 29, 2023, the 52-year career of Ron Spike in Yates County law enforcement came to an end.
Law enforcement from around the region gathered at the Public Safety Building on Friday to honor Undersheriff Howard Davis, Junior, and Sheriff Spike as both entered in to retirement. In an interview with WFLR, Sheriff Spike talked about the honor of serving the people of Yates County for more than five decades.
