An event being held at the end of the month will help you be better prepared for severe weather events and emergencies in the Finger Lakes.
The New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps will hold a one-hour training on Thursday in the Corning-Painted Post High School auditorium. The training is designed to give residents the tools and resources they might need to prepare for both natural and man-made disasters. It will also teach residents to respond to a weather emergency and provide tips on recovering as quickly as possible. Participants will receive one family preparedness kit.
Thursday night’s event will take place at 6:30 and is open to any New York resident.
