Cayuga Medical Center, part of Cayuga Health, has been recognized for its commitment and expertise in treating patients in need of cardiac care.
The American College of Cardiology has awarded the center with Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation based on an onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat those who come to the cath lab for care.
“This prestigious recognition underscores Cayuga Health’s commitment to excellence in cardiovascular care,” said Dr. Martin Stallone, President and CEO for Cayuga Health. “We extend our gratitude to our exceptional team of cardiologists, nurses, and staff who made this achievement possible. Together, we continue to elevate heart care right here in our community.”
Procedures performed at Cayuga Medical Center’s cardiac cath lab include coronary angiography and pacemaker insertions.
“Cayuga Medical Center has demonstrated its commitment to providing the communities they serve with excellent heart care,” said Deepak L. Bhatt, MD, MPH, FACC, chair of the ACC Accreditation Management Board. “ACC Accreditation Services is proud to award Cayuga Medical Center with Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation.”
The American College of Cardiology offers US and international hospitals access to cardiac accreditation services to optimize patient outcomes and improve hospital financial performance.
Cayuga Health consists of two hospitals – Cayuga Medical Center and Schuyler Hospital – and a multispeciality group, Cayuga Medical Associates.
