Cause of Structure Fire in Yates County Still Not Known

Here’s an update on the Tuesday night structure fire in Yates County.

The fire at Howard Sloan’s Long Point Road residence in Torrey was confined to a porch and siding on the outside of the home. No injuries were reported. There’s no word yet on the cause.

The Dresden, Himrod, and Dundee fire departments responded to the scene along with the Yates County Office of Emergency Management, Penn Yan Ambulance, and the Yates County Sheriff’s Office
