Audit Calls into Question Procedures of Village of Penn Yan Purchases

A state audit found that Penn Yan village officials did not ensure its Chief Water Operator procured all goods and services in accordance with Village policy.

The audit found that as a result, there is an increased risk the Village paid more than necessary for goods and services or made purchases that were not in the best interest of ratepayers.
