Annual Yates Christmas Program Will Take Place December 4th-7th

SHARE NOW

Organizers of the Yates Christmas Program want residents to know that this year’s distribution will take place from December 4th through the 7th.  An error on the dates had been printed in one of the local newspapers.

The Yates Christmas program is a program for families in the Dundee and Penn Yan school districts that assists families in need with some help with Christmas gifts. Through the annual program, children and families are provided with new clothing, toys, books, hats and gloves, underwear, and dental products.  Two years ago, the program served 353 families, including nearly 800 children.

“If someone doesn’t have an appointment yet and they have children from infancy to age 18, they can still register by calling Rachel at (315) 481-9623,” said volunteer Lauren Snyder.

Distribution will be taking place at the Benton Fire Hall and is by appointment only.

Run entirely by volunteers, and on donations from Yates County residents and friends, there are no paid staff or administrative costs
