The county has contracted with DiFiore Construction for site work and that included the removal and replacement of 3,000 cubic yards of unsuitable soils. County Administrator Nonie Flynn tells us during the excavation, they identified areas where additional soil removal will be required. Friday’s special meeting will be to get authorization to direct DiFiore to proceed on a time and material basis for the additional removal and replacement of these soils. Flynn adds the cost, not to exceed $300,000, will be allocated from the project contingency line. Friday’s meeting will take place at 1:30 p.m. The county gave the project the okay back in April.
