The Western Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation (WROTBC) has reported record municipal distributions for the first half of 2025, continuing a trend of growing financial support for participating communities.
Second-quarter payments to municipalities totaled $2,943,338, surpassing the first-quarter total of $2,864,269. Year-to-date distributions through June now exceed $5.8 million across WROTBC’s 17 member municipalities.
In the Finger Lakes region, the distributions benefited Cayuga County ($160,289), Schuyler County ($37,949), Seneca County ($70,733), Steuben County ($197,558), and Wayne County ($192,501). These funds help support local services, infrastructure, and development projects.
WROTBC officials attribute the record payments to steady growth at Batavia Downs, enhanced marketing, and internal operational reforms. The continued increase in revenue highlights the impact of OTB operations on communities throughout Western New York.
