The City of Geneva is closer to naming a new police chief.
Three candidates for the job appeared last night in a community forum.
Geneva Police Lt. Ron Eveland, Waterloo Police Chief James Chechak, and retired New York State Police Trooper James McCormack were interviewed by members of the community Wednesday.
The Police Chief’s job was left vacant with the resignation of Matthew Colton back in March.
The Geneva Police Department has 32 full-time police officers and provides public safety for Geneva’s population of more than 12,000 people.
