Sheridan Capital Partners has completed an investment in Currier Plastics, an Auburn manufacturer specializing in custom, precision plastic components for the healthcare and life sciences industries.

As part of the deal, Currier announced that Andrew McLean has been appointed the company’s new CEO. McLean brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors, including roles at SteriPack Group, Sirtex, BD, and Pfizer.

Founded in 1982, Currier Plastics has built a reputation for its technical expertise and service to blue-chip healthcare customers. The company produces custom components using advanced blow and injection molding, with manufacturing taking place in ISO Class 7 and 8 cleanrooms. It also provides engineering, material selection, and assembly services.

“I am very proud of what our dedicated employees have created at Currier, and we have found a great partner in Sheridan to continue our steadfast commitment to excellence for our customers,” said Currier Founder and CEO, John Currier. “The healthcare expertise Sheridan brings will be invaluable as we look to execute on organic growth initiatives and strategic M&A. In addition, this partnership and the leadership of our incoming CEO Andrew McClean will enable us to continue to invest in the talent and operational resources to continue providing world-class products and services to our growing customer base across multiple end markets.”

“Currier is the result of our multi-year thesis in medical contract manufacturing and we are very excited to be partnering with them at this inflection point in their growth,” said Sean Dempsey, Co-founder and Partner at Sheridan.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
