In just 24 hours, United Way’s ROC the Day raised $992,727 through 6,819 donations and matching gifts to support 600 nonprofits on Tuesday in a nine-county Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes region, including Yates, Ontario, Seneca, and Wayne counties. ROC the Day is a 24-hour, online giving extravaganza that gives people in our community an opportunity to support local nonprofit organizations doing great work. Donors were able to browse through a catalog of over 600 nonprofits and give to causes they care about in one, easy transaction.
ROC the Day, an initiative of United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes has made an incredible impact over its 14-year history. To date, this initiative has raised over $12 million to support nonprofits across the nine-county region.
