Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) visited the LifeNet of New York base at the Finger Lakes Regional Airport this week, where she met with flight crews, toured the facility, and discussed the vital role emergency air medical services play in protecting communities across the Finger Lakes and Upstate New York.
The base, known as LifeNet 7-12, has been operating out of Seneca Falls since 2014. It provides 24/7 emergency and interfacility air transport for critically ill or injured patients. Staffed by a specialized team of pilots, flight nurses, and flight paramedics, the unit uses an advanced EC130 helicopter equipped to deliver critical care and rapid transport to hospitals best suited for a patient’s needs.
“LifeNet NY and Air Methods provide an essential lifeline to residents of the Finger Lakes and beyond, ensuring that no matter where a medical emergency occurs, expert care is only minutes away,” said Congresswoman Tenney. “I’m grateful to the dedicated men and women who serve in these demanding roles, often under the most challenging conditions, and I remain committed to supporting policies that strengthen rural healthcare access, emergency medical services, and the resources our first responders need to save lives.”
Bill Stubba, Northeast Region Field Operations Manager for Air Methods, which operates LifeNet, expressed appreciation for Tenney’s visit.

LifeNet 7-12 continues to play a key role in ensuring that rural and remote areas of New York State have fast access to emergency medical transport and advanced care.
