The Seneca Falls woman convicted for her role in hiding a Waterloo man’s body behind Geneva General Hospital in June of 2022 is facing new charges today. 25-year-old Lacrita Verstreate was arrested Wednesday morning on a warrant stemming from a violation of her probation sentence on the charge of concealment of a human corpse.
Verstraete and Kiara Scott, of Geneva, were arrested last year after they took Scott’s ex-boyfriend to the hospital for a medical emergency but instead took Keith Morlang to a parking lot out back of the hospital, pulled him from their car and concealed his body in back of an abandoned shuttle bus. Morlang’s body was found three days later.
Verstreate was already in the Ontario County Jail on an unrelated warrant when she was arrested. She was expected to make a court appearance at some point Wednesday.
