Winds Cause Damage Across The Finger Lakes

Winds whipping up over 50 mph Wednesday afternoon and evening caused trees to come down taking with them power lines and cable TV lines.

First responders were called around the Finger Lakes to stop traffic and help remove debris from the roadways.

New York State Electric and Gas reports 888 Seneca County customers are without power, 652 customers are without power in Ontario County, 2,523 in Wayne County and 168 in Yates County.

Rochester Gas and Electric also reports power outages for some customers in Cayuga, Ontario, and Wayne counties.
