A group of Wells College alumni are preparing to sue if the school does not cooperate with a request for more information about the closure of the Aurora college.
The Cleveland Commission for Wells, a nonprofit that formed after the sudden closure announcement in April is seeking details from the college, its board of trustees and the Wells College Alumni Association.
The Citizen reports the commission, which submitted its request Friday, has retained the Rochester-based law firm Harter Secrest & Emery.
