The local man convicted in the spring of stabbing another man on Halloween morning two years ago will spend a lengthy time in prison.
Jermaine Harrison was recently sentenced to 18 years behind bars for stabbing an acquaintance multiple times outside of a Railroad Avenue bar in Newark. Police say an earlier altercation between the two at another location led to the stabbing. The victim, who has never been identified, did survive.

Harrison, of Clyde, was convicted of felony first-degree assault in April.
