One Finger Lakes County has declared a state of emergency for April 8th.

Wayne County officials are concerned its population could increase by 50 percent that day because the county is in the path of totality for the solar eclipse.

County Board of Supervisors Chairman Anthony Verno told Channel 10 in Rochester said the state of emergency will allow police to close roads or turn two-lane roads into one-ways to help with traffic congestion.
