Waterloo Town Supervisor, Town Councilman Charged With Felony Burglary

Three people, including the town supervisor of Waterloo and a town council member, have been arrested on felony burglary charges.

State Police alleged that Supervisor Don Trout, Councilor Robert Lotz, and Michelle Geraghty, all of Waterloo, entered the Waterloo Highway Department and caused damage to property inside. No other details about the alleged incident that happened on March 25th were released.

Trout has been town supervisor since 2018

The three people arrested were released on appearance tickets.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
