Waterloo’s new firetruck has arrived.
The 2017 Spartan Fire engine replaces the department’s old pump engine from 1999 and is capable of pumping 1500 gallons of water per minute, an improvement over the old pump’s 1250 GPM rate.
Equipped with extraction tools and fire suppression equipment, Engine 1601 will now be the primary engine responding to calls in the village.
