First responders including many fire departments in Seneca and Ontario counties, police, as well as streets and maintenance departments were busy Friday when up to three or more inches of rain fell in Seneca and Ontario counties.
Basements needed to be pumped, streets and roads were flooded and have to be blocked off, and there were some motor vehicle accidents blamed on the weather.
Flooding was more severe in the Southern Tier.
The rain was the remnants of Hurricane Debbie.
