The $35 million project will address a variety of needs to enhance the educational experience for students while contributing to the safety, accessibility, and longevity of the District’s facilities.
Pending final design and NYSED approval, improvements will include a new multipurpose turf field, roof replacements at both buildings, upgrades to elementary music rooms as well as secondary educational rooms, boiler, HVAC, and mechanic upgrades.
The proposal calls for no additional increase in school taxes to pay for construction. The District plans to pay for the project with $8 million already set aside in a Capital Reserve Fund along with State reimbursements totaling 87.7% on all approved costs of the project.
