The Village of Newark is pleased to announce the promotion of Robbin Bremer to Economic Development Facilitator. Robbin has been the Deputy Clerk for the Code Enforcement Department and the Economic Development Department for nearly fifteen years.

Robbin is a graduate of Newark High School and Cornell University. She lives in the Village of Newark with her husband Tom “Ditto” Bremer. They have one son, Keith (Maggie) who lives in Tennessee, and two sons, Brian (Maria), and Greg (Destiny) who live in the Village of Newark. They have one grandson, Bentley Jameson.

During Robbin’s time with the Village of Newark, she has continuously exhibited professionalism and is well respected within the business community. With her vast experience in code enforcement and economic development, we look forward to a smooth transition as we start the Downtown Revitalization Initiative projects and other large-scale projects in our Village.

Mayor Jonathan Taylor said, “Robbin has been a vital part of our team for several years now. She has been involved in economic development and was a key part of securing several grants for the village, including the $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative. Robbin is a natural fit to become our Economic Development Facilitator, and we look forward to continued growth in our community with her leading the way.”

Village Trustee Robert Bendix commented, “ Robbin is a stalwart employee whose knowledge of code enforcement and economic development will be extremely important in her new role as Economic Development Facilitator. We are honored to have her take over for Mark Peake and look forward to growing Newark with her assistance. Congratulations Robbin!”
