10:45 p.m. UPDATE:
Verizon Wireless says all issues in Seneca County have been resolved.
Verizon Wireless customers in Seneca County are having intermittent trouble with voice calls and text messaging.
According to the Office of Emergency Management, anyone in Seneca County having a problem calling 911, should hang up and try re-dialing; or text 911 by typing “911” in the “to” or “recipient” field and typing in details of the emergency in the body of the text. If this doesn’t work, try connecting to a Wi-Fi network if available or find a landline phone.
Verizon Wireless is currently working to resolve this issue. Updates will be shared as they are received.
