We have more information on Friday’s car chase in the City of Auburn.

According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Victory Road in the Town of Victory Friday morning for the report of a suspicious vehicle. It was determined that the vehicle had been stolen from Auburn and one of its occupants had just been involved in a domestic incident, stolen property, and violated a stay-away order of protection.

The information was relayed to other law enforcement agencies and the vehicle was located by State Police in Red Creek leading to a pursuit that crossed into Cayuga County and then Auburn around 11:00a.

Auburn Police say Kevin Huntington Junior of Red Creek and an unidentified 17-year-old are accused of intentionally swerving the vehicle, which had previously been reported stolen in Auburn, at officers until crashing it. The pair then fled on foot but were both taken into custody shortly later.

Police added no one was seriously injured.

Huntington was charged with felony counts of Attempted Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Robbery, and Criminal Contempt. He was then taken to the Cayuga County Jail.

Both suspects were charged with Assault for an incident that took place the prior Wednesday on Owasco Street.

Huntington is also wanted in Wayne County for a probation violation while the juvenile is wanted in Genesee County for a Family Court violation.

The teen was ordered to be held at a juvenile facility at the Oneida County Jail.

Police expect more charges for the pair and are asking anyone with additional information to contact Detective Rivers (315)567-0073, Detective Weeks (315)255-4706, or APD’s non-emergency line (315)253-3231.
