UPDATE: Missing Canandaigua Woman Found Safe

UPDATE: According to NYSP, Caitlyn M. Hand has been located in good health. Thank you everyone for the assistance.


Authorities are asking for help locating 37-year-old Caitlyn Hand of Canandaigua, who was last seen leaving the Hampton Inn in Rome, Oneida County, on Tuesday.

Hand is described as 5’7”, 110 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a blue shirt, beige pants, white sneakers, and carrying a black crossbody purse. Officials say she is a vulnerable adult who may be disoriented, confused, and in need of medical attention.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse at 1-800-346-3543 or online at www.criminaljustice.ny.gov.

State Police say Hand was reported missing by her family after being released from the Oneida County Jail on September 14. However, it is now believed she may have traveled to the Rochester area.
