The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a missing teenager reported earlier this week has been located and is safe.
Authorities had been searching for 15-year-old Israel “Izzy” Murinda, who was last seen Sunday just after midnight at her home in Farmington. Deputies said she had recently moved with her family from Rochester and was believed to have left the residence on her own. Officials also noted she had a history of running away.
In an update released sent out on Friday, the sheriff’s office confirmed Murinda has been found safe and thanked the public for their assistance and awareness during the search.
