9 A.M. UPDATE (9/28): Investigators say an electrical problem sparked Wednesday afternoon’s house fire in Seneca Falls.
The Seneca Falls Police Department responded to a reported working structure fire on Demont Road in Seneca Falls just after 12 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival at the scene, it was evident that one of the homes was fully engulfed in flames, with the fire having extended to a neighboring home.
First responders from the Seneca Falls Fire Department, alongside seven other departments, were dispatched to the scene and extinguished the fire. No injuries were sustained during the incident. Both affected structures have been declared total losses.
