Underweight Puppy Leads to Seneca Falls Woman’s Arrest

A 20-year-old from Seneca Falls has been charged with animal cruelty after police received a complaint of a German Shepherd puppy being in poor health.

An investigation determined the puppy belonging to Samantha Briggs was extremely underweight and needed immediate medical attention. The puppy was taken to a local shelter.

Briggs will appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date to answer her charges of Overdriving, Torturing, and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance.
