SHARE NOW

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries that occurred last month near Wood and Gorham Streets in Canandaigua.

According to police, the suspects, a 16-year-old from Canandaigua and another from Geneva-allegedly broke into at least six garages and sheds on February 20. Investigators say the stolen items were quickly listed for sale online. Authorities were able to track down some of the stolen goods and conducted a controlled purchase, which led to their recovery and the identification of the suspects.

Both teens were issued appearance tickets for unspecified charges.

Throughout this investigation, several other stolen items were recovered, which had not yet been reported to law enforcement. The owners of said property were identified and notified. There is still property where the owners have not been identified. The property consists of a Black and Decker Saw, Central Machinery Tabletop Drill Press, Callaway 300 Range Finder, and other miscellaneous golf equipment. If you are missing property or have any further information, please contact Detective Liberty at [email protected] or at 585-337-2107.

The City of Canandaigua Police Department was assisted by the Ontario County Sheriff’sOffice, Geneva Police Department, and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office
