Two people were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning following a crash at the intersection of Route 89 and Noble Road in the Town of Seneca Falls.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. and involved a vehicle that was unable to stop on an icy hill while traveling east on Noble Road. According to the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, the vehicle slid into a trailer being towed by a pickup truck headed north on Route 89.
Emergency crews from the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, Seneca Falls Police Department, and North Seneca Ambulance responded. Fire officials said the road was covered with debris when they arrived, and Route 89 was temporarily shut down between Cayuga Lake State Park and Lower Lake Road while crews cleared the scene.
Two male occupants were treated at the scene and then transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital with minor injuries.
The vehicle was removed by Stever’s Towing, and Route 89 was reopened after cleanup.
