Two in Seneca Falls Arrested After Child Found in “Immediate Peril”

SHARE NOW

A disturbing case out of Seneca Falls where two residents face charges after police removed from a home a child who was reported by Seneca County Family Court to be in “immediate peril.”

After police arrived at the home, they claimed 32-year-old Angelia Ely would not allow them into the child’s bedroom. At the same time, 42-year-old Earl Heath was allegedly hiding the child from police. When eventually found by police, the child was impaired by substances that required urgent medical attention.

Police say they also found cocaine inside the home that was located near where another child was. Ely and Heath were charged with endangering the welfare of a child and obstruction of governmental administration.

The child requiring medical care was taken by Child Protective Services to Clifton Springs Hospital for treatment.

An order of protection was requested on behalf of the children.

The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department received support from the New York State Police, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Environmental Conservation Police, North Seneca Ambulance, Seneca County Child Protective Services, Seneca County District Attorney, and the Seneca County 911 Center.
