A narcotics investigation led to the arrest of two Seneca Falls residents after police executed a search warrant at an apartment suspected of being involved in cocaine distribution.
On Friday, members of the Seneca Falls Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, in collaboration with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, carried out a court-authorized search at 71 West Bayard Street. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of controlled substances from the residence.
Police arrested 47-year-old Pravo Atherly, who faces several charges, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B felony. He was also charged with two misdemeanors: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.
Also arrested was 58-year-old Gina Atherly, charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Both suspects were processed at the Seneca Falls Police Department and transported to Seneca County CAP Court for arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
