TV Producer Still Asking SP for O’Connell Information

SHARE NOW

There’s renewed interest in solving a 38-year-old Seneca County murder case.

A Southern Tier TV station, the website mytwintiers.com, and a new national podcast are all reviewing the 1985 murder of Kristen O’Connell.

O’Connell was a 20-year-old from Minnesota that visited Ovid to see a boy she had met on spring break. Her nude body and other evidence were found in cornfield.

The TV and podcast investigations are looking into why a Los Angeles TV producer cannot get state police to cooperate with filming a documentary about the murder.  We first talked with LA film producer Christopher Pavlick back in June 2021

New York State Police have never officially named a suspect or made an arrest in the case, despite receiving and looking into over 2,000 leads. Police still consider this case an open investigation.

We have more about the O’Connell murder, including links to the TV and podcast reports, online at Finger Lakes Daily News dot com.
