(Photo: Jeremiah Devlin) A Finger Lakes Railway line in Ontario County is closed after an accident Tuesday damaged a railroad bridge. Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies say 45-year-old Gregory Hale of Manchester was driving a utility truck and struck the bridge at the intersection of East Ave. and Clark Street in Shortsville. The truck-owned by Ferguson Electric has a height clearance of 12 feet, 8 inches. The bridge clearance was 9 feet, 6 inches. The crash moved the bridge by almost two feet. At this time, the railroad company is assessing the damage. Hale was issued a ticket for failure to obey a traffic control device.
