State Police have identified the Trooper involved in the fatal shooting of a teenager Wednesday night in Ontario County.
Trooper Adam Latulipe, a 4-year-veteran of State Police, responded to a residence on State Route 64 in East Bloomfield after the Department of Homeland Security received an anonymous tip that alleged a resident of the home was talking about killing someone. As the Trooper was interviewing a 17-year-old boy on the home’s side porch, the teen allegedly pulled a concealed knife and lunged toward Latulipe, causing both to fall to the ground. As they both got to their feet, the teen, who still had the knife, charged at Trooper Latulipe, who fatally shot him.
The state attorney’s general office is investigating.
