The Town of Tyre has said goodbye to its .com domain.
The town has fully transitioned from tyreny.com to tyreny.gov. Visitors from the former .com domain will be automatically redirected to the new .gov site.
Additionally, the town has updated its email addresses from @tyreny.com to @tyreny.gov. For a limited time, mail sent to the old addresses will be redirected to the new addresses.
The change comes to put the town in line with federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency recommendations as only verified government organizations can register dot-gov domains. This means the public can easily verify the website as being operated by an official government organization.
