The town of Geneva’s new Electric Vehicle Charging Station that will feature a two-port fast and a Level Two electric charge is complete. Town Supervisor Mark Venuti tells us they are just waiting on NYSEG to complete its final inspection of the Station at the Town Hall before it will be ready for the public to use.
“We’re kind of badgering NYSEG to come in basically and take one last look and throw the switch,” said Venuti. “When it does open, we will set the fee at basically, break-even, whatever it’s going to cost us the public can come in there and put a credit card in there and get a fast charge of if you time, are visiting and doing some shopping, the slow-charger is there as well.”
The town qualified for a NYSEG program that covered 90 percent of the cost of installing the charging station.
