The Town of Canandaigua is now accepting applications for seasonal positions ahead of the 2026 summer parks season.
Town officials say seasonal employees help support park operations, recreation programming, visitor services and facility maintenance at town park locations throughout the summer.
Several positions are available, including recreation specialists, park rangers, gatehouse attendants, lifeguards, senior lifeguards and parks laborers.
Seasonal employment typically begins in late spring and continues through the summer park season. Officials say the jobs are intended to help staff town parks during the busiest months, when more visitors and recreational programming take place.
Applications must be submitted through the Ontario County Civil Service employment portal, where job descriptions and application details are posted. The portal currently lists multiple seasonal openings with application deadlines extending through late June.
Town leaders say seasonal staff play an important role in maintaining park facilities, assisting visitors and supporting recreational activities during the summer months.
