For over 80 years, the Q area of the Seneca Army Depot held the county’s largest stockpile of nuclear weapons. Now for the first time ever, you have a chance to tour the Q area inside the once electrified fences.
There are only a few tickets left for a tour at Deer Haven Park on Saturday July 20th.
The tour includes the fortified headquarters of the 295th Military Police Company that protected the Q area and a chance to tour one of the fortified storage igloos where the nuclear weapons were stored.
This could well be the only time that the public is allowed in the old Q area.
