One Tompkins County community wants the Seneca Meadows Landfill in neighboring Seneca County to close next year.
Trumansburg village trustees passed a resolution this week calling for the Seneca Falls landfill to close in 2025 as was previously agreed to. The landfill’s owners have applied to the DEC to remain open until 2040, while also expanding.
